What You’ll Do
- Provide routine and complex nursing care in a fast-paced labor and delivery setting.
- Use the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—to meet patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care activities accurately.
- Educate patients and families about procedures, care plans, and recovery.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Support long-term goals and manage contingencies during shifts.
What You Need
Required:
- Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
- BLS, NRP, ACLS certifications (AHA approved)
- Certification in either AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC C-EFM
- 1+ year experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
Preferred:
- Perinatal RN residency or recent experience in a perinatal setting
- Strong knowledge of labor and delivery practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
