What You’ll Do
- Provide routine and complex nursing care for cardiac caths, peripherals, TAVR, and device patients
- Administer medications and treatments using established protocols, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, documentation, and evaluation
- Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care needs
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and clinical protocols
- Support patient recovery and monitor for adverse reactions or complications
What You Need
Required:
- Valid RN license (state of employment or compact license)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (via AHA)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience (preferred, new graduates considered)
Preferred:
- BSN degree or higher
- Experience in cardiac or critical care settings
About the Assignment
This assignment is at a highly regarded facility in Alexandria, LA, known for its advanced cardiac care and patient-centered approach. You will work in the Cardiac Cath Lab, caring for patients undergoing procedures like TAVR and device placements. The unit operates Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with every third or fourth weekend on call. This role is ideal for experienced nurses seeking a flexible, fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth and development.
