  JOB REQUIREMENTS
  

  

    
• Board: NP-AANP or ANCC certified

    
• Licenses: Active unrestricted VA NP license and DEA w/VA address

    
• DEA / CDS: Active DEA for the state of application and CSR if needed per state

    
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS

    
• Experience: Graduate of an accredited NP/PA program

    
• Other Qualifications: Documentation of case logs for past 2 years, proof of completed CMEs for the last two years

  

  DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  

  

    
• Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients presenting to the ED, working under a 24-hour physician coverage model with 36-hour APP coverage.

    
• Perform thorough history and physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.

    
• Perform emergency procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and other minor procedures as required.

    
• Collaborate with attending physicians, specialists, and support staff to manage patient care and facilitate transfers when needed.

    
• Document all patient encounters accurately in the Meditech EMR system and maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
