What You’ll Do
- Decontaminate surgical instruments and scopes, including drills, DaVinci, and other specialized equipment
- Assemble all instruments for various surgical service lines, including trauma and loaner sets, with peel packaging as needed
- Operate sterilization processes (sterrad and steam sterilizers) to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Manage high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope cleaning procedures
- Maintain sterile storage areas and ensure inventory accuracy
- Collaborate with OR staff as a liaison to facilitate efficient surgical workflows
- Use Censitrac tracking system to document and trace instrument sterilization
What You Need
Required:
- Certification: CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA)
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in sterile processing, OR liaison, or trauma environment
- Knowledge of sterilization and disinfection protocols
- Ability to work night shifts (18:00–6:30) and occasionally float to other locations
Preferred:
- Experience with decontamination, sterilization, and instrument assembly in trauma or busy hospital settings
- Familiarity with Censitrac or similar tracking systems
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
