Addiction & Mental Health TherapistHelp people rebuild their lives on a beautiful private 44-acre campus. Woodlands Grove Recovery Campus is hiring compassionate therapists who want to do meaningful work in addiction and mental health treatment. We are a private treatment facility in Van Wert, Ohio, offering medical detox and residential care for adults facing substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges. We believe recovery should be personal. Our patients come to us with different histories, strengths and goals. We are looking for therapists who take the time to understand the person behind the diagnosis and help them build a life beyond addiction. A Setting That Stands Apart Our beautiful 44-acre campus offers wooded walking trails, a pond with a gazebo and peaceful outdoor spaces. It is a place where patients can step away from their daily surroundings and focus on getting well. Alongside medical care and therapy, our program includes wellness and recreational opportunities such as yoga, animal-assisted therapy and horticultural activities. Home-cooked meals and space to spend time outdoors are also part of the campus experience. For therapists, Woodlands Grove offers the opportunity to work in a residential setting where treatment extends beyond a single appointment. You can follow patients through their recovery experience, help them put new skills into practice and work with the people supporting their care each day. The Opportunity As a therapist at Woodlands Grove, you will help patients understand the patterns behind their substance use, address mental health concerns and develop practical tools for lasting change. Your work will include individual and group therapy, personalized treatment planning and collaboration with our medical, nursing and clinical teams. You will help patients work through difficult emotions, strengthen relationships and prepare for the challenges they may face after treatment. Progress can take many forms. It may be a patient speaking honestly in a group for the first time, learning how to manage a craving or beginning to rebuild trust with family. We are looking for clinicians who recognize the importance of those moments and help patients build on them. Key Responsibilities Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that reflect each patient’s needs and recovery goals. Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based approaches appropriate to your training and scope of practice. Help patients develop coping skills, emotional awareness and relapse prevention strategies. Include family or support systems when appropriate and authorized. Collaborate with the treatment team to review progress, communicate concerns and coordinate care throughout the patient’s stay. Complete timely clinical documentation and contribute to discharge and aftercare planning so patients leave with a clear next step. Who We Are Looking For We are seeking therapists with appropriate active Ohio clinical licensure and a background in counseling, social work or a related behavioral health field. Experience in addiction treatment, residential care or co-occurring mental health conditions is preferred. You should be comfortable building therapeutic relationships, facilitating groups and working with people at different stages of readiness for change. Strong clinical judgment, professional boundaries and dependable follow-through are important. Just as important is how you treat people. We value clinicians who listen carefully, communicate directly and approach patients with dignity and respect. We want team members who can bring both compassion and accountability to treatment without judgment or shame. Why Woodlands Grove? The setting is special, but the purpose behind the work matters most. At Woodlands Grove, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a program focused on helping people regain stability, reconnect with what matters to them and move toward a healthier future. Our private campus brings medical care, therapy and recovery-focused activities together in one location. For a therapist who enjoys collaboration and wants to be involved in a patient’s broader treatment experience, this is an opportunity to put those strengths to work. We welcome thoughtful ideas, a genuine commitment to patient care and professionals who want to contribute to the continued development of our program. Compensation Compensation is based on experience, qualifications and licensure. Pay details and position expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
