Daily Call Coverage Required During Scheduled Workweeks
Telephone Call With 30-Minute Response Requirement
After-Hours Calls Screened by Nurse Advice Before Contacting On-Call Provider

Clinical Responsibilities
Provide Outpatient Pediatric Gastroenterology Care
Evaluate and Manage Pediatric Gastrointestinal Conditions
Conduct New Patient Consultations and Follow-Up Visits
Perform Pediatric Gastroenterology Procedures
Provide Inpatient Gastroenterology Consultations as Needed
Respond to Telephone Consultations and After-Hours Calls
Review Laboratory and Diagnostic Results
Respond to Patient Messages and Clinical Inquiries
Develop and Implement Patient Treatment Plans
Provide Clinical Oversight and Support to Advanced Practice Providers
Coordinate Care With Pediatric Hospitalists and Other Pediatric Specialists
Manage Gastroenterology Consultations Without Primary Admitting Responsibilities

Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology
Pennsylvania Medical License Required to Apply
IMLC Candidates Considered
DEA - Required
BLS - Required
PALS - Required
At Least 2 Years of Clinical Experience in Pediatric Gastroenterology
Must Be Proficient in Upper Endoscopy and Colonoscopy
Must Be Comfortable Managing Pediatric Gastroenterology Conditions
Must Be Able to Perform Inpatient Consultations
Must Be Comfortable Providing Telephone Call Coverage
Must Be Able to Respond Within 30 Minutes When On Call
Must Be Available for at Least 1 Full Week Every Month
Availability for 2 or More Weeks Per Month - Preferred
