What You’ll Do
- Provide nursing care for stroke, brain injury, and trauma patients on a rehab unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry strips accurately
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Document patient progress and care activities thoroughly
- Ensure safety protocols and infection control standards are met
- Support patient and family education throughout treatment
What You Need
Required:
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or ability to obtain
- BLS certification
- Previous experience in telemetry or neuro rehab preferred
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Preferred:
- Experience working with stroke, trauma, or brain injury patients
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Join a dedicated team at a leading facility in Marrero, LA, providing vital rehabilitation services to patients recovering from neurological trauma and injury. This unit operates on a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, offering a dynamic and challenging environment where your skills can make a real impact. The schedule includes every other holiday, with blackout dates during major holidays. There is no on-call requirement, but flexible float staffing as needed ensures comprehensive patient coverage.
