An ongoing locum tenens opportunity is available for Emergency Medicine Physicians in Dardanelle, Arkansas. This position offers flexible full-time and part-time coverage options in a community hospital setting, making it an excellent opportunity for physicians seeking consistent locum tenens work.

Providers will work 24-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, with approximately 10 shifts needed per month.

• Shift Length: 24-hour physician shifts, 7:00 AM–7:00 AM.

    

• Assignment Length: Ongoing coverage need.

    

• Patient Volume: Approximately 5,000 annual visits, averaging 14 patients per day.

    

• Hospital Setting: 25-bed community hospital.

    

• Admission Rate: Approximately 10%.

    

• EMR: Medhost.

    

• Start Date: ASAP, subject to credentialing and privileging.

    

Education & Experience

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.

    

• Completion of residency in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or General Surgery.

    

• Minimum of two years of recent clinical experience in the requested specialty.

    

• Board certification is not required.

    

• Alternative boards, including ABPS, are accepted.

    

Licensure & DEA

• Active, unrestricted Arkansas medical license.

    

• DEA registration with an Arkansas address, including Schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV, and V.

    

Certifications

• ATLS certification is required.

    

• ACLS and PALS certifications are recommended.

    

• TB screening within the past 12 months.

    

• COVID vaccination documentation.

    

• Influenza vaccination within the past 12 months.

    

• MMR, Varicella, and Hepatitis B immunization documentation.

    

• Case logs covering the previous two years.

    

• CME documentation covering the previous two years.

    

• Proof of 40 Category 1 CME hours.

    

• $1,000,000 per claim.

    

• $3,000,000 aggregate.

Emergency Medicine Physicians with an active Arkansas medical license, Arkansas DEA, ATLS certification, and at least two years of recent clinical experience are encouraged to apply.
