What You’ll Do
- Provide expert nursing care for MedSurg and postpartum patients in a rural hospital setting
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor fetal Heart rate and maternal status; ensure safety during postpartum care
- Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
- Document all patient interactions accurately using CPSI/Perigen charting
- Occasionally take on charge responsibilities, including team coordination
- Maintain compliance with all health and safety protocols
What You Need
Required:
- Valid Kansas or Multistate RN license
- BLS, ACLS, NRP (all via AHA)
- Previous experience in MedSurg and postpartum care at a CAH (Critical Access Hospital) setting
- Ability to work the specified shift (1745-0600)
- Strong clinical skills in postpartum and MedSurg nursing
Preferred:
- Prior travel or rural hospital experience
- Experience with CPSI/Perigen charting
- Flexibility to work additional MedSurg shifts if needed
About the Assignment
This assignment is at a small rural Critical Access Hospital in Quinter, Kansas, centered around providing high-quality care for postpartum and MedSurg patients. The RN will work in a supportive environment with a patient ratio of 1:1 for postpartum and an average of 1:3 in MedSurg. The facility values teamwork, clinical excellence, and flexible staffing to meet community needs.
