What You’ll Do
- Perform decontamination of surgical instruments, including scopes, drills, and DaVinci devices
- Assemble instruments across all service lines, including trauma and loaner sets, peel packaging
- Sterilize instruments using sterilization (Sterrad and steam methods)
- Manage high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope reprocessing
- Maintain sterile storage areas and ensure proper tracking of all items using Censitrac system
- Serve as a liaison with operating room staff to meet surgical instrument needs
- Operate and troubleshoot Medivator sterilization equipment
What You Need
Required:
- Valid CBSPD or CRCST certification (via HSPA)
- Experience with Medivator systems
- Prior sterile processing experience in a busy hospital environment, preferably Level One trauma center or similar
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques (sterrad, steam) and HLD procedures
Preferred:
- Experience with Censitrac tracking system
- Familiarity with OR liaison roles and complex instrument assembly
