What You’ll Do
- Evaluate patients across all levels of acuity, from ICU to progressive care units, with diagnoses such as CABG, stroke, TBI, joint replacements, respiratory illnesses, dementia, MS, Parkinson’s, and more
- Develop and implement personalized plans of care focusing on ADL training, therapeutic exercises, and activities to restore function
- Assess discharge suitability and provide recommendations for discharge disposition daily
- Document patient progress and treatment plans using Cerner electronic health records system
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary inpatient rehab team of 19 professionals
- Provide therapy interventions aligned with hospital protocols and patient needs
- Participate in a flexible schedule including one weekend day per month throughout the contract
What You Need
Required:
- Valid Indiana state license for Occupational Therapy
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year OT experience in an acute hospital setting
- Key skills: patient assessment, therapeutic interventions, documentation in Cerner
Preferred:
- NBCOT certification
- Manual therapy, lymphedema specialty licenses or certifications
- Cerner experience
