What You’ll Do
- Screen, evaluate, and develop treatment plans for patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders.
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly, documenting all activities in electronic records.
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients and their families regarding speech and language issues.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and continuing education to stay current in clinical practices.
- Support and supervise CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists when applicable.
What You Need
Required:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Active ASHA certification and adherence to ethical standards
- Prior experience in speech-language pathology, preferably in long-term care settings
Preferred:
- Experience working with elderly or rehabilitation populations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
