- Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, with foreign body removal, with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), With injection of varices, Diagnostic, Therapeutic, With PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy))
- Esophageal dilatation/manometry
- Esophageal manometry interpretation
- Small Bowel biopsy
- Lower GI endoscopy (Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible, Rigid), Colonoscopy (with biopsy, with excision of polyp))
- Liver biopsy
- Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Board: BC in Gastroenterology
- Licenses: Licensed in MO or IMLC
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour beeper call coverage for inpatient gastroenterology consults.
- Manage assigned inpatients, including rounding and admissions.
- Perform upper GI endoscopy procedures (including biopsy, foreign body removal, etc.) as needed.
- Perform lower GI endoscopy procedures
