Position Highlights
Full-time General Surgery position
Established multi-specialty practice
Opportunity to help expand the General Surgery service line

Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Dedicated block OR scheduling
Call approximately 7 days per month

Clinical Responsibilities
The General Surgeon will provide comprehensive surgical care while contributing to the growth of the practice's General Surgery service line.

Responsibilities may include:
Surgical consultations and preoperative evaluations
Elective and acute general surgical procedures
Inpatient and outpatient surgical care
Postoperative patient management
General abdominal and gastrointestinal surgery
Hernia repair
Gallbladder and biliary procedures
Soft tissue and skin procedures
Minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery, as appropriate
Emergency surgical evaluation and management
Participation in General Surgery call
Collaboration with primary care physicians, specialists, advanced practice providers, and other members of the care team

Requirements
M.D. or D.O.
Completion or anticipated completion of an accredited General Surgery Residency
Board certified or board certification eligible
Board-eligible physicians must obtain board certification within five years
Valid Georgia Medical License or participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
Ability to obtain appropriate clinical and surgical privileges
Willingness to participate in General Surgery call coverage
