We are seeking a Cardiac Surgeon for locum tenens coverage in Ohio. This part-time opportunity provides vacation coverage with 24-hour call, hospital rounding, and cardiac surgery responsibilities. No clinic time is required.

Overview

• Provide inpatient hospital rounding and cardiac surgical coverage


• Perform cardiac surgery procedures, including CABG, aortic valve replacement, and pericardial window


• Manage inpatient consultations and admissions


• Collaborate with the hospital's cardiac care team, including intensivists, invasive cardiologists, and cardiac anesthesiologists


• Provide 24-hour call coverage as scheduled


• Approximately 1–2 cardiac surgical cases per week


• 100% adult


• EMR: Meditech

Requirements

• MD or DO


• Board Certified in Cardiac Surgery


• Active Ohio medical license or eligibility through the IMLC


• Minimum of 2 years of experience


• Current DEA registration


• Current ACLS certification
