Key Responsibilities:

Administer influenza vaccines and other authorized immunizations according to established protocols
Complete patient screenings and review relevant health information before vaccination
Monitor patients for immediate reactions and respond appropriately to clinical concerns
Educate Veterans on influenza prevention, vaccinations, and post-immunization care
Accurately document vaccinations and patient encounters in the electronic health record
Maintain proper vaccine handling, storage, and inventory procedures
Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical quality standards while collaborating with the care team to keep the clinic efficient and organized
Qualifications:

Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse license
At least 1 year of LPN experience
Current BLS certification
Previous immunization, vaccination clinic, outpatient, or ambulatory care experience preferred
