We are seeking a skilled Cardiologist for a 35-day assignment in Kentucky. This role involves a dynamic schedule of 24-hour call coverage, clinic duties on weekdays from 8am to 4:30pm, and weekend call with morning patient rounds. The selected Physician will manage inpatient consults, perform STEMI activations, and conduct various diagnostic reads, ensuring comprehensive cardiac care for our client's patients.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 24-hour call coverage daily, from 7am to 7am.
• Cover clinic in addition to call during weekdays, Monday to Friday, from 8am to 4:30pm.
• Schedule Tuesdays and Wednesdays for Cath Lab Days as needed.
• Cover 24-hour weekend call on Saturday and Sunday, rounding on patients in the morning beginning at 7am.
• Perform typical inpatient cardiology patient consults during rounding for weekend call days, including patients with chest pain/ACS, heart failure, arrhythmias, abnormal stress tests, pre-op clearance, and valve disease.
• Conduct STEMI activations.
• Perform reads for Echos (TTE/TEE), stress tests, EKGs, and Holters.

• Patients Per Day: 10 - 15, with 0-3 callbacks on 24-hour weekend call days after rounding.
• LOA: 35 Days
• Staffing Mix: 1 permanent Interventional Cardiologist MD, 1 permanent Cardiology PA, 2 APRNs at clinic, Cath Lab Techs and office admin support staff. The hospital features an accredited chest pain center, cath lab, CVICU, CVOR, CCU, and open heart/cardiothoracic surgery with surgical backup on site. There is 1 permanent General Cardiology MD and 1 MD at a time for EP Cardio Coverage.
