Part-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Position in Jacksonville, Florida!
Responsibilities:
- Provides medication management services for referred clients. Conduct full initial psychiatric evaluation and follow up evaluation as needed. Collaborative documentation standards are followed.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess client's clinical problems and health care needs.
- Develops reports to include but not limited to: treatment plans and recommendations, progress reports, disability applications, court reports.
- Participates in treatment planning with medical and clinical staff, community agencies and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive client treatment plan.
- Reviews patient records and signs off on pertinent clinical records. All documentation is completed within the patient's electronic health record.
- Monitors clinical services through utilization and peer review procedures, and ensures ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained.
- Refers patients to Psychiatrist for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
- Ensures client's safety and confidentiality at all times.
- Participates as a team member and contributes to the enhancement of the department and the agency.
Qualifications:
- Master's of Psychiatric Nursing degree with appropriate training as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner required.
- Must be licensed as an ARNP with prescription authority in the state of Florida.
- Two years Advanced Practice nursing experience preferred.
- Florida licensed Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner specializing in psychiatry.
