Full-Time Behavioral Health Unit Manager needed in Columbia, Missouri!

Position Summary:
Join us in working on our brand new Behavioral Health Unit- Senior Care. This is a 20 bed unit that offers exciting opportunities for an experienced leader.
The Manager provides guidance, direction and support to the nursing personnel assigned to the unit. This position is responsible for supervising, organizing and implementing actions to ensure that optimal quality nursing care is provided according to policies and procedures for acute care services. This position participates in patient, family and staff education, provides leadership by working collaboratively with nursing personnel, physicians and ancillary/support departments and provides direct patient care as needed. The Manager is professionally responsible for the assessment, prescription, implementation and evaluation of patient care, is accountable for the outcome of such care and demonstrates the knowledge/skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The Manager is also responsible for the administrative and functional operations of the Health Center on a given shift.
Position Requirements (General):
EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of nursing. BSN required. MSN or Master's Degree in related field preferred.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, BONDING: Current Missouri license as a Registered Nurse. Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare provider or must obtain within 3 months of hire. ACLS preferred. Current registration for Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) required.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years' experience in acute care setting, desirable to have 1 year experience in long-term care, case management experience helpful.
