HireWorks is partnered with a large healthcare group seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team in the Downtown Dallas office. This position will perform the nursing responsibilities as assigned in either Admissions/Procedure Room/PACU. The ideal candidate has Cath Lab, OR, Radiology Lab, and/or Recovery Room experience. Radiology or surgery center and conscious sedation experience preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adheres to surgical principles and practices as described in the center's policies and procedures.
Demonstrates competency in admitting patients, working as a circulating nurse, administering conscious sedation, recovering patients from local and IV conscious sedation and working with adult and elderly patients.
Demonstrates competency with discharge criteria.
Performs the pre-operative and post-operative patient education.
Demonstrates competency in preparing and administering medication.
Demonstrates competency in teaching patients and family member.
Ensures the physician's orders are followed for all patients.
Applies knowledge, skill, and judgment in providing patient care in the areas assigned.
Promotes and participates in providing accurate recording of medications and treatments given.
Assesses the patient response immediately post-operatively, reports pertinent information, performs appropriate interventions, and evaluates patient responses.
Maintains confidentiality of management information, displays discretion and good judgment in communication methods.
Adheres to all approved Vascular Center's policies and procedures. Notifies Clinical Coordinator/Administrator of any deviation from approved policy.
Maintains CEU's as required by State and Vascular Center's policies.
Ensures timely completion of variance reports for all situations.
Maintains satisfactory attendance record.
