Standard Qualifications:   The South Atlantic Division of HCA is headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina. Highly qualified physicians and nurses provide patients with the best treatment in a timely, efficient manner to ensure leading a healthy life becomes a main concern.  The VP of Cardiovascular Service Line (CVSL) is primarily responsible for supporting all efforts related to designing, developing, directing, coordinating, supporting and/or communicating the successful execution of the multi-year Division CVSL business plan and objectives across multiple pillars including growth, quality and operations (healthcare value and efficiency, service and satisfaction.) Additionally, this individual is responsible for the Division's Care Assure program including productivity, performance, enhancement and expansion. Care Assure, HCA's commitment to ensuring appropriate follow-up care for patients after discharge, enhances healthcare quality and value through improved care coordination, compliance with evidence-based recommendations and by establishing a longitudinal patient care relationship.  This individual will utilize known CVSL-specific strategic planning, analytic, business development and operational leadership skills and/or experience (preferably within a multi-facility environment) to achieve CVSL goals in combination with other Division, market and facility leaders. Frequent, key interactions and customers include Division leadership, market leadership, facility leadership, Cardiovascular physicians, the senior-most corporate leadership (including Operations) across multiple organizational areas, corporate-based CVSL stakeholders (including the Clinical Services Group, HealthTrust Purchasing Group, Physician Services Group, Physician & Provider Relations, Strategic Pricing & Analytics, Strategic Resource Group, Marketing, Research, IT&S, etc.) and CVSL peer leaders (other Division and market CVSL Leaders). This individual will establish and support Division CVSL structure to drive growth and performance improvement.  Key Responsibilities:  · Designs and implements Division and market CVSL governance inclusive of Physician and administrative leaders  · Establishes and leads this cohesive organizational and governance structure supporting all facilities  · Directs annual CVSL business planning process to design and enhance 3-year CVSL business plans in each market  · Manages process to set and measure performance against CVSL aspirations across multiple areas (growth, quality and operations); leverages CVSL dashboard to review performance monthly  · Outlines and measures execution of CVSL tactics identified to achieve aspirations, engages additional team members, committees and resources to achieve tactic completion  · Collaborates with clinical stakeholders to ensure performance improvement processes in place for clinical outcomes  · Implements new and optimizes existing cardiovascular services and programs  · Establishes collaborative relationships with various stakeholders to achieve goals  · Engages physicians across the Division in cardiovascular leadership, committee participation, strategic business planning, communication and education  · Supports physician recruitment and onboarding efforts to ensure alignment with CVSL business plan goals/aspirations and successful integration into the market  · Networks with other Division CVSL Leaders to share best practices and opportunities  · Practices and adhere to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement"   Care Assure  · Manage performance and report-out on impact   Manage Division performance through interaction with facility project leads and participation in working team meetings Actively participate in the recruiting and hiring of nurse navigators and patient care coordinators Hold Care Assure teams accountable for weekly productivity standards Identify low performing initiatives/Nurse Navigators and raise issues facility & Division leadership Reviews performance data regularly with facility executive sponsors and facility teams Set performance targets and review position control on an ongoing basis Provides feedback to Corporate Care Assure team regarding operations, performance data, and clinical innovation opportunities Provides coaching and feedback to Care Assure staff to include clinical ladder/succession planning     Drive program development and expansion   Lead facility launches and on-boarding activities for key stakeholders Facilitate discussions/forums to identify best practices, share knowledge, & operationalize program improvements Identify program issues across facilities and work with physicians, administration, and corporate resources to solve problems Support program and initiative roll out to new facilities Participate on the Care Assure Clinical Innovation team to identify new programmatic development op
