Mechanical Vent Coordinator - Performance Improvement - Full Time Days The Mechanical Ventilator Management Program Coordinator, under the direction of the Sepsis Program Manager, shares responsibility for coordinating program development in conjunction with clinical leaders to ensure objectives, outcomes, and goals are achieved. The program coordinator demonstrates a high level of clinical competence that creates an environment of clinical excellence resulting in improved individual and group clinical outcomes. This individual facilitates individualized, evidence-based, highly effective care to patients and families through coordination/collaboration of the entire healthcare team. The program coordinator collects and analyzes data surrounding the ventilator patient to assist with documentation, coding, clinical care and outcomes. Through role modeling, coaching and demonstration, this individual fosters learning for the staff and promotes outcomes-oriented nursing practice. The Ventilator Management Program Coordinator is also responsible for program development, performance improvement of the service line, and staff and physician education and training. The program coordinator works closely with the research staff to assess and enroll patient in current clinical trials as applicable. He/She will take on other responsibilities as determined by the Quality Vice President to support the hospital's quality and patient safety program.
