Standard Qualifications: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS, MT, ASCP) Full Time Rotating Shifts - 32 hours per week and rotating weekends for Free-Standing Emergency Department, Seabrook, NH The Town of Seabrook and Portsmouth Regional Hospital mutually committed to address the critical need for a convenient local healthcare access in the greater Seabrook community. As a department of Portsmouth Regional Hospital, the freestanding Seabrook ER will continue the hospital's tradition of quality patient-centered care for the communities it serves. We are currently looking for a knowledgeable Medical Lab Scientist/Medical Technologist to join the Seabrook FSER team for a Full Time Rotating shift position. Qualified candidates need to be team driven and able to collaborate with all disciplines working at the site. Per the direction of the FSER Management perform other duties as assigned to ensure effective patient and operational flow and duties could include but are not limited to greeting patients, assisting with Environmental Services duties, etc. As a part of the PRH family, the Seabrook ER staff will have the opportunity to work collaborative with our existing highly skilled Level II Trauma Center. The brand new, state of the art facility is expected to open in the Spring of 2017. POSITION SUMMARY : Performs chemical, bacteriological, serological and microscopic procedures in one or more functions of laboratory sections. Maintains records of performance as defined in the Laboratory's general and procedure manuals. Ensures that all policies and procedures are performed as defined in policy and procedure manuals approved by the Medical Director of the Laboratory. Performs all services as they may relate to patient care / treatment with consideration for the age/condition of the patient.
