Description
Standard Qualifications: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Performs direct and indirect patient care utilizing established procedures, policies and standards as evidenced by patient/staff feedback and Medical Office Manager. Documents accurate information in patient chart and in logs as needed. Maintains a patient referral list for reconciliation of results. Obtains vital signs including, Blood Pressure, Pulse, Respirations, Height, Weight, BMI, and Head circumference, Temperature. Reviews current medication and allergies. Procedures including but not limited to EKG, Muscle Stimulation, Otic Lavage, Assist with minor procedures. Communicates medication refills to pharmacy after approval from a medical provider. Performs patient calls in a professional manner, documenting the event in the chart. Communicates with the physician/ARNP/PA regarding patient needs, results as needed as evidenced by patient/staff feedback and the Medical Office Manager. Performs prior authorizations for procedures, DME, medications, etc. as needed. Collaborates with other clinical staff members to ensure the patients well/being as evidenced by patient/staff feedback and Medical Office Manager. Back up for the Laboratory/Phlebotomist as needed. Maintains a clean, neat and safe environment for the patient and staff according to policy and procedure as evidenced by staff/patient feedback and Medical Office Manager. Ensures that supplies and equipment necessary for patient care are stored in an organized and efficient manner. Demonstrates correct and safe technique in the use of equipment according to specific product information. Follows appropriate procedure for obtaining and returning or cleaning/disposing of equipment and supplies. Participates in economical utilization of supplies and ensures that equipment is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
