In recognition of this commitment, we strive to deliver high quality, cost effective health care in the community we serve.     This is a PRN - per diem position with no guarantee of hours or benefits.    POSITION SUMMARY (includes, but is not limited to):  Provides appropriate health care services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Uses radio nuclides and Nuclear Medicine techniques & procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment, and to produce images requested by, and for the interpretation of, licensed medical practitioners. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor that reflects a high standard of medical ethics. Recognizes conditions essential for the successful completion of procedures. Skills that are required for this role include:   Verbal ability in English is necessary for understanding oral and written instructions stated in medical terms and for exchanging information with patients and hospital staff.  To ensure scans of diagnostic value, spatial perception is necessary for visualizing inner structures of the human body in relation to the camera.  Form perception is necessary for perceiving details in scans that determine acceptability of exposure.  Clerical perception is necessary for perceiving pertinent detail in technique and instructions relating to specific Nuclear Medicine procedures.  Manual dexterity is necessary for adjusting machine controls and for arranging, attaching, and adjusting supportive devices.   The successful candidate will be able to:   Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served in his/her department.  Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and provides care needed as described in the departmental policies and procedures.
