Our Patients First approach is clear...excellent service, every patient, every time.  SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* Obtain quality MRI images of patients Complies with MRI safety guidelines. Operates MRI equipment safety including screening all patients for contraindications. Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner Prepare MRI scanner and perform quality control tests. Be able to administer contrast agents, and all types of care to the patient. Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images. Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties Completes and maintains educational requirements ss, treat and/or care for the age groups indicated by check marks. Legend: __x__Birth - 1 Year = Neonatal/Infant __x__1-11 Years = Child/Pediatric __x__12-17 Years = Adolescent __x__18-64 Years = Adult __x__65 Years and over = Geriatric _____N/A - No responsibility to assess, treat or care for patients QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE Required: Minimum of one year, as a certified MRI technologist Preferred: Multiple years as a staff MRI technologist EDUCATION Required: Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology. Responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure. Preferred:  LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: (Required or Preferred) American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or must be registry eligible and pass the registry and becomes ARRT certified within 1 year (required) ARRT - MRI Technology (preferred) American Society of Radiologic Technology (preferred) IV certification (required via on-job training) Current CPR certification (required)    About our employer:  HCA is a provider of healthcare services, a company comprised of locally managed facilities that includes 165 hospitals and 115 freestanding surgery centers in 20 states and England and employing approximately 204,000 people.  HCA is committed to the care and improvement of human life and strives to deliver high quality, cost effective healthcare in the communities we serve.
