Position Summary: Responsibilities include risk/CMS HCAHPS data management, claims management, education components of the facility's risk management program and to ensure claims and compliance with regulatory and accreditation agency risk management standards are met. Establish, coordinate and manage Patient Satisfaction education initiatives which include, but are not limited to new employees in orientation, current employees, visitors and students doing clinical rotations in the facility in an effort to increase patient satisfaction and reduce liabilities and exposures for the facility. Collaborate with all facility leadership and work as a liaison to the appropriate committees to address complaints, grievances and concerns to identify patient satisfaction opportunities Essential Functions: Assures daily operations of the hospital are conducted in accordance with Accreditation, State and Federal regulations and hospital policies and procedures. Conducts tracers and makes recommendations to ensure continuous survey readiness. Compiles, edits, and reports complex issues or processes related to accreditation and regulatory compliance activities. Produces thorough, accurate, well designed and appropriate documents. Assures documentation requirements are met in accordance with certification standards and regulatory requirements. Prepares policies and procedures for review as needed to support activities related to accreditation and regulation. Serves as an education resource to the organization to assist departments on regulatory requirements and follow through with compliance activities Completes special projects in preparation for accreditation and/or regulatory visits. Participates in and/or leads accreditation and regulatory/certification surveys as needed. Participates in committees and activities as needed to maintain an awareness of the current and emerging accreditation and regulatory compliance standards.
