POSITION SUMMARY: Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for screening and diagnostic purposes in accordance with ALARA standards. Regulates the equipment used to expose the x-ray film, develops, and organizes films. 1. Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in the performance of imaging assessment, reassessment, development and implementation of the patient's prescription/orders in accordance with the Department and organization standards and policies. 2. Recognizes and reports changes in patient's status and condition and reports to appropriate person. 3. Continuously prioritizes patient needs and nursing problems based on observations and data collection. 4. Delegates task s to personnel based on skill level, patient care needs, policy, and ability to provide required supervision.
