Department Summary: Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross is an integrated system of care, incorporating the latest technology. Our Cath Lab team provides comprehensive and coordinated care for diagnosing and treating heart disease. The Heart Center has 2 procedure rooms and provides invasive procedures including the following: Diagnostic cardiac and peripheral angiography Cardiac and peripheral interventions Pacemaker and defibrillator insertions Pressure wire testing and intravascular ultrasound Right heart catheterization and pulmonary hypertension evaluation Position Summary: The Cath Lab Tech (CVT) participates as part of the Cath Lab team and is able to assist the physician in various types of procedures. Candidates should have skills to scrub and monitor during procedures. The Cath Lab cares for patients in acute situations and CVT must have the ability to identify life threatening symptoms and communicate and act appropriately. Qualified Cath Lab Tech candidates will have an active RCIS or CCI. This position takes call and will require the CVT to return facility within 30 minutes of notification. Call is shared with other Cath Lab staff members and call coverage is evenings and weekends.
