Documents sample strips indicating usual rhythm as well as arrhythmias. Reports changes in telemetry screens for immediate follow-up action. Reports equipment problems for corrective action. This position requires knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical technology as it relates to nursing. The ability to retrieve data from the hospital's information system is required, along with the ability to communicate information in a written and auditory fashion. The ability to interact with the public and medical staff is also required. Written, telephone and manual dexterity skills are required for this position. This position requires documented additional training in cardiac rhythm interpretations and the ability to recognize and report abnormal cardiac rhythms.
