Director of Nursing Unit(s): Adult and Geriatric Behavioral Health Position Type: Full Time, Salaried - Exempt Responsible for assisting the Director in planning, organizing, and staffing functions to ensure the effective operation of the Behavioral Medicine Department. Department includes a 13 bed adult psychiatric unit, an 8 bed geriatric psychiatric unit, an intensive outpatient substance abuse program, and a 24/7 crisis and consultation service. Will function in cooperation with the leadership team in developing plans, policies, and procedures to efficiently and effectively meet the objectives of providing quality care. Assumes a role as a leader in planning, directing, and managing the deparment and staff to assure quality service. Responsible for supervision of staff. The Nurse Manager is responsible for meeting Joint Commission standards, complying with all state and federal regulations, complying with corporate policy and procedures, managing supplies and equipment on the unit, promoting teamwork with physicians and all healthcare providers, promoting internal and external customer satisfaction, and for appropriate resource management.
