Standard Qualifications: We are seeking a Registered Dietitian/Health Educator (PRN status) to join the Health Drive Team at CJW Medical Center. The Health Drive Team p rovides screening services to our customers at local Business Health and Community events throughout the greater Richmond Metro Area. The Health Drive Team's Registered Dietitian/Health Educator conducts regularly scheduled classes on the premises of these local businesses on subjects such as health, nutrition, weight loss, food and mood, and other dietary topics of interest. The number of hours per week in this PRN position will vary, most typically fall within the 8:00 pm to 5:00 pm window, although some classes may begin as early as 5:00 am or end as late as 7:00 pm. No weekend coverage required. CJW Medical Center consists of Chippenham Hospital (where this position is based) and Johnston-Willis Hospital. As one of the largest facilities within HCA, Chippenham Hospital provides the full scope of healthcare services. With 466 beds, we specialize in heart care at the Levinson Heart Hospital and emotional and mental health services through the Tucker Pavilion. Our ER is also a state-authorized Level II trauma center and we offer Central Virginia's only Pediatric ER staffed 24/7 by pediatric-trained ER nurse and physician specialists. The specific elements and essential functions (*) of the Registered Dietitian/Health Educator are listed below. *1. Participates in Business Health Screening Events and Health Fairs to provide assistance with event promotion when needed. *2. Provides assistance with set up and implementation of health education events for businesses in the Richmond Metro Area. *3. Assists with set-up necessary for nutrition related business health education and completion of data entry and analysis of nutrition class outcomes. *4. Serves as an ambassador for business health initiatives and program and represents HCA Workplace Wellness and HCA health screenings/education events/services at events in the Richmond Metro area. *5. Develops nutrition education programs to meet the needs of businesses and communities in the Richmond Market *6. Provides instruction in group settings as well as individual encounters to improve health of employees. * THOSE SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS WITH AN (*) ARE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS CONSIDERED NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH THIS JOB.
