Standard Qualifications: Portsmouth Regional is a 209-bed acute care hospital located in Portsmouth, NH, and is part of HCA, the nation's largest provider of healthcare services. Portsmouth Regional Hospital is the only Level II Trauma Center on the Seacoast and one of only three in New Hampshire to earn this important distinction. Cardiovascular Service Line includes the following: Cardiac Catheterization Lab Diagnostic Imaging Center Cardiovascular Surgery Vascular Program oversight Cardiac Quality Cardiac Marketing Coordination of Chest Pain Center activities. Volume: We conduct approximately 350 open heart surgeries per year We conduct approximately 1,000 cath diagnostics per year We conduct approximately 590 PCIs per year SPECIFIC ELEMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Leadership and management: Responsible for all aspects of departments (CVOR, Cath Lab, Diagnostic Services, Multi-specialty Heart Clinic, and The Care Assure Program) operations including program goals, maintaining records, and data submission to designated agencies and departments Supervises staff and ensures competency, personnel management functions within the inpatient and outpatient setting. Monitors and ensures service line quality (eg. clinical outcomes, credentialing/privileging, processes, services, satisfaction) Operations and finance: Develops and maintains a budget for supervising departments. Establish benchmark metrics focusing on quality, volume, market share, and profitable financial performances. Reviews performance data regularly with facility executives, including CMO, COO, VP of Quality & Risk, CNO and others as requested. Strategic planning and business development: Develops and implements a cardiovascular service line business plan, driving quality outcomes and processes while improving profitability of cardiovascular service line. Responsible for program development and growth including planning, implementation and assessment of strategic plan to improve quality, and viability of services.
