Beginning with screening and diagnosis continuing through treatment and survivorship, so that patients can receive quality care with improved outcomes.  The Associate Regional Vice President (ARVP) will drive operational excellence for HCA's MidAmerica Division oncology service line, at Tulane Health System, ensuring the market delivers high quality, patient centered oncology care through program development under the direction of the Regional Vice President and MidAmerica Division Leadership. The ARVP will serve as a local and regional leader for executing mid and long range strategic initiatives in Louisiana and Mississippi to optimize operational performance while managing operational short range planning and execution related to disease site performance, marketing and compliance. The ARVP will execute the coordination of various operational initiatives, and tactical plans, tracking operations performance against key performance indicators (metrics). The ARVP will provide direct operational leadership for emerging bone marrow transplant and oncology service line at Tulane Health System. The ARVP will be charged with growing and expanding oncology services across Louisiana and Mississippi and be based out of Tulane Health System.  Duties include but are not limited to:  -Works under the direction of the Regional Vice President of Oncology Services focused on the implementation of operational tactics driven from the MidAmerica Division strategic plan.  -Works directly with hospital and physician leadership at Tulane Health System on all items related to oncology services  -Provides leadership, guidance, and structure for inpatient and outpatient oncology services, including Blood and Marrow Transplant program, at Tulane Health System.  -Collaborates with Sarah Cannon Blood Cancer Leadership team to drive continuous improvement of Blood and Marrow Transplant and Complex Hematology program.  -Monitors and manages the Tulane Health System's and Louisiana Region's oncology operations performance including disease site specific quality metrics, safety, volumes, physician relations, and patient satisfaction.  -Attend cancer committee meetings, tumor board conferences and cancer program administrative meetings at Tulane and other Louisiana Hospitals of MidAmerica, as appropriate.  -Demonstrates problem solving approaches and responds to questions, concerns, issues in a timely manner. Identifies new areas for partnership/collaboration and relationship development.  -Develops and maintains excellent working relationships with key representatives of the MidAmerica Division, including but not limited to: CEO's, Administrators with operational responsibility for a cancer program, other program managers and colleagues, Oncology Program Managers, Vice Presidents, Medical Directors, relevant physicians, Marketing Directors, Public Relations Director, Coordinator of Community Outreach.  -Works with MidAmerica Sarah Cannon Navigation Director on establishing an oncology navigation program for the South region of division.  -Establishes market level strategic plans for Louisiana and Mississippi to better align services to meet patient and physician needs  Assures implementation of established guidelines, policies and procedures. Works with staff and physicians in creating and implementing objectives for the provision of safe and effective patient care; Evaluates effectiveness of policies and procedures and make recommendations for change. Identifies and recommends opportunities to impact performance trends favorably (staffing level optimization, overtime etc.) and implements approved action plans to ensure optimum performance.  -Ensures highest levels of client satisfaction; proactively resolves any potential client/partner/oncologist issues.  -Ensures full, on-going compliance with FACT and Commission on Cancer accreditation.  -Ensures region's regulatory compliance; monitors changes in applicable laws and regulations (DPH, ACR and/or other governing bodies), compliance with region's quality and safety programs; ensures the highest standards of patient care.  -Maintains knowledge of health care trends in academic and community oncology settings and keeps current with oncology standards of patient care through journals, articles, conferences, etc.
