Standard Qualifications: Memorial Satilla Health is a 231-bed, full service, acute care medical facility that has been providing high quality medical care to the greater Waycross community and southeast Georgia region for more than 60 years. We are searching for a new Director of Emergency Services to help lead our ED team, treating over 45,000 patients a year for problems ranging from life-threatening heart attacks to broken bones. He/she will be responsible for the overall operations to include clinical and financial/administrative functions of the following areas: Emergency Department, Emergency Admitting, Day Hospital Unit, Observation Unit, Convenient Care and Satilla Advocacy Services. Position Requirements: 1. Sets standards for the safe and effective delivery of patient care as evidenced by allocation of resources, policies, procedures and protocols. 2. Responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of clinical and business related functions necessary for operations in all responsible services. 3. Demonstrates responsibility for for the growth, fiscal planning and management of all responsible services. 4. Consults with Medical Staff in planning processes which are pertinent to the delivery of optimal patient care. 5. Ensures all processes are compliant with state, federal and other regulations. 6. Maintains knowledge of current legal and ethical issues involving service operations. 7. Maintains direct communication with the COO regarding operational issues. 8. Supports Managers in HR Functions (i.e., staffing, recruitment, retention, disciplinary actions, competencies, etc.). 9. Develops and monitors processes to support and improve customer satisfaction. 10. Promotes and maintains effective communication with other services within the organization. #LI-SAD
