Job Summary: The EKG/EEG Tech is responsible for administering electrocardiograms and/or Electroencephalograms to patients within the hospital setting and to assist in the daily operations of the department. To effectively communicate with all patients, peers and medical staff to provide the most accurate and timely testing and reporting. This position requires knowledge of the field of Electro-cardiology and/or Encephalograph. Must have interpretive skills and interact/consult with other associates. The ability to retrieve, communicate and express information in a written, auditory and visual fashion. Written, telephone and manual dexterity skills are required for this position. The ability to perform functions under stressful situations is essential. Qualifications: Current AHA CPR Certification in basic life supportMust have experience performing EKG and EEGMust be Registered Tech Minimum of 3 Years of Experience Required.Graduate from an accredited school in cardiovascular technology and/or National certification is RequiredDemonstrate technical proficiency, Good communications skills, and Establishes organizational skills. Able to use independent judgment
