Standard Qualifications: Overland Park Regional Medical Center is one of the premiere medical facilities in Johnson County. Overland Park Regional Medical Center is currently looking for a Sonographer. Responsibilities: Under direct supervision of the Cardiology Manager, the Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for accurately performing echocardiograms on all patients including infants, adolescents and adults. Responsibilities also include analyzing the information and providing calculations to assist the physician in providing appropriate care and treatment. Assists and performs adult stress echo testing. Must have knowledge of ultrasound operations (hospital and out patient); Must have strong interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills; Must be flexible and self motivated; Must be a team builder and player with the ability to interact with patients, physicians, and personnel in a pleasant, positive and courteous manner. Must be capable of functioning with initiative and independent judgment. Must be able to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. Responsible to carry out any other activities assigned by the Cardiology Manager to assure the department runs effectively and efficiently.
