Standard Qualifications: Manager of Emergency Services / Emergency Department / ED / Emergency Room / ER Work Schedule: FT Evenings (2p-10p) Coordination of day to day clinical operations of the Emergency Department with regard to patient care, resource management, staffing, supplies & equipment; Helps maintain personnel files related to orientation, competency, disciplinary actions and attendance; coordination of staffing schedule; performs evaluations in conjunction with Director of ED. Coordination of facility trauma program; coordination of community/area Emergency Medical Services; follows up on trauma cases and reports required data to Texas Department of Health; maintains departmental statistics and reviews records for quality performance issues. Coordinates with Human Resources to ensure appropriate recruitment of staff Coordinates with staffing office to ensure appropriate staff availability Serves as a resource to staff and physicians Computation of staffing payroll (assisted by operations assistant) Reviews trauma performance improvement; reports state required data to State of Texas Trauma Registry; represents facility at regional Trauma Council; coordinates trauma education/protocols with ED Director and Medical/Trauma Director; serves as a resource to staff for trauma related processes Coordinates community Emergency Medical Services and Emergency Department including performance improvement issues related to pre-hospital care Responsible for trauma designation program Participates in ED management processes as indicated/delegated by Director Participates with disaster planning/program for department, hospital, community and regional advisory council About Medical City Arlington Originally opened in August of 1976 as Arlington Community Hospital in a rural part of town, Medical City Arlington has developed into a 382-bed full-service hospital located in the heart of the growing South Arlington area.
