We know if we do well in each of these areas, our employees will be able to provide the safest, highest-quality and most compassionate service to our patients.     SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*    Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.    Performs all Sonographic exams following defined protocols.    Observant of patients' conditions. Notifies physician or supervisor of unusual occurrences.    Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.    Analyzes the quality of images and processes as required.    Understands and operates electronic information systems.    Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean, organized working environment.    Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of sonography and meet educational requirements of ARDMS.    Takes call after regular hours.    Registered or registry eligible by RDMS or ARRT.       Position is required to have competence to assess, treat and/or care for the age groups indicated by check marks.   Legend:  __X_ Birth - 1 Year = Neonatal/Infant  __X__1-11 Years = Child/Pediatric  __X__12-17 Years = Adolescent  __X__18-64 Years = Adult  __X__65 Years and over = Geriatric  _____ N/A - No responsibility to assess, treat or care for patients  EXPERIENCE  Preferred - 2-3 Years experience as RT or Sonographer  Preferred - Two or more years of experience in a hospital Ultrasound Department.   EDUCATION  Required - Graduate of an accredited, RT or Sonography program. ARDMS eligible.  Required- BLS Certification  Preferred - ARDMS certification.
