POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Radiology Director and/or Lead Technologist performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedure applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. This position regulates the CT scan equipment to produce high quality digital cross-sectional images for the purpose of detecting pathology and abnormalities in our patients. This person must operate equipment safely and maintain ALARA standards while performing all types of procedures within the scope of an ARRT Certified CT Scan Technologist. This person must closely follow all established Infection Control measures that were developed specifically for the CT scan room and equipment. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with our internal and external customers, fellow employees, and other departments and facilities and our medical staff. This person must work closely with the radiologist staff, general medical staff and the Emergency Department staff.
