Description
Standard Qualifications: AN EEO/AA Employer M/F/V/D Tobacco Free Campus Position Summary: Responsible for patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse or Physician. Takes and records vital signs accurately within the shift. Rounds PRN to anticipate patient needs. Obtains and labels specimens accurately Answers call lights immediately Alters Patients position Q2 or as assigned. Assists with toileting needs Assists patient in/out of beds, chairs or wheelchairs Gives accurate report of care provided and patients response to RN team leader Keeps room orderly for safe patient environment Performs bedside blood glucose monitoring if assigned to staging Greets and directs visitors at nursing station Prepares chart on each patient admitted. Prepares medical record when patient is discharged to send to Medical Records department Maintain supplies Assist RN/Physician with procedures Performs other related functions as assigned
