The CSS Technician is responsible for receiving, cleaning, processing, assembly and distribution of medical supplies, equipment and surgical instruments. *2. The CSS Technician is responsible for acquiring, distributing and charging for all disposable supplies and patient rental equipment. *3. Prepares, assembles and packages all medical equipment and instruments for surgery and other hospital departments including the restocking of code carts and isolation carts using exchange cart system. *4. Sterilizes all reusable equipment, supplies and instrumentation, and maintains and operates Central Sterile equipment. *5. Handles, transports, and stores sterile equipment, instruments, and supplies and pulls supplies and instruments for surgical cases using case cart system. 6. Helps direct workflow in Central Sterile Supply, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines for the department. *THOSE SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS WITH AN (*) ARE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS CONSIDERED NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH THIS JOB.
