Standard Qualifications: Doctor's Hospital is located in Augusta, Georgia, the state's second largest and oldest city, and is home of the annual Masters Golf Tournament. Doctors Hospital is nationally known for our Burn Center, the largest in the U.S. We have also been recognized as a top performing hospital by the Joint Commission, Cancer Center accredited by the American College of Surgeons, Chest Pain Accredited, earned the Joint Commission's certificate of distinction for total hip and total knee replacement and spinal fusion surgery, and we are the only CARF accredited facility in our area. We are a level 3 trauma and emergency center.  The role of the Clinical Supervisor is to assist with the operations of the department. He/she ensures patient care is provided according to Hospital and unit specific policies and procedures.  The Clinical Supervisor oversees and directs to insure appropriate staffing of qualified and competent personnel are available to provide care to our patients and families. The Clinical Supervisor assists with orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in their department(s). The Clinical Supervisor assists the Director with interviewing and selection, retention, disciplinary actions, terminations and yearly evaluations of department employees in conjunction with the Human Resources Business Partner. He/ she provides input to the director regarding space/equipment recommendations, budgetary needs, and other resources needed by the department.  The Clinical Supervisor works with unit schedulers to insure accuracy of monthly schedules. Updates departmental polices as needed to reflect evidence based care and educates staff on changes. Confirms with coordinators daily unit checks ( i.e. warmer temps, pyxis, and equipment checks etc ) are completed as required by state/federal and regulatory bodies. Performs/or assigns monthly medical record reviews. Completes narcotic pharmacy audits per pharmacy protocol, hand washing audits and NHSN monitoring. Assists with educating staff in correct documentation processes.  The Clinical Supervisor demonstrates and supports service excellence strategies and culture. Demonstrates professionalism at all times. Other duties as assigned.
