Standard Qualifications: Position Description: Provides direct patient care based upon the Hospitals' Standards of Care and Standards of Practice, Polices, Procedures and Practice Guidelines. He/she acts as a patient advocate within the Hospital environment. Considers age related factors in the assessment, care, and treatment of patients across the continuum. Provides emotional, spiritual, religious and cultural support to patients and their significant others. The Graduate Nurse Residency program: Provides a transition from Graduate Nurse to Registered Nurse. The GN residency is offered to the following specialties: Med/Surg including Neuro, Critical Care including Telemetry and ED, Women's Services, Pediatrics, Surgery and Rehabilitation
