Ortho/Neuro/Trauma Charge Registered Nurse RN Roles & Responsibilities: The Charge Nurse is a registered nurse who assumes the role of a professional nurse leader in planning, directing and managing the staff and census to assure quality nursing care. The Charge Nurse is responsible for meeting JCAHO Standards, complying with corporate policy and procedures, managing and prioritizing personnel and equipment, and collaborating with physicians and personnel from other departments. The Charge Nurse in Ortho/Neuro/Trauma provides care for adolescent patients between the age of 12-18 years of age, adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older.
