Roles & Responsibilities: The Infection Control / Employee Health Registered Nurse is trained in hospital epidemiology principles and is responsible for the surveillance, analysis, and reporting of nosocomial infections; educating employees about infection control; and the development of health system policies and procedures to insure rigorous infection control standards that meet JCAHO, OSHA, Public Health Department, and Center for Disease Control requirements. The Infection Control / Employee Health Nurse uses computerized HRIS to track vaccinations/immunizations and communicates with employees using hospital based clinical application software.
