These technical solutions must leverage the existing network infrastructure investments and provide a scalable and flexible bridge to enhance the enterprise network as business requirements necessitate.  Manage the enterprise data networking designs, services, implementations, operations and support for HCA's enterprise network consisting of 1600+ router nodes. These responsibilities will require Subject Matter Expert knowledgeable skill sets across the networking technologies, services and components. Position must keep abreast of the latest networking technologies and services so that the enterprise network is strategically enhanced to proactively meet the HCA customer/business requirements and maintain networking service levels.  The Network Engineering department provides data networking services and support for 800+ sites customer base - each of which will be refreshed and redesigned over the next 4 years. This large customer base and enterprise network requires excellent prioritization and organization skills to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects (30+) and the daily operational tasks.  The position will manage approximately 15 staff team members and contractors. Will be required to perform employee and contractor management/administrative duties; time/PTO reporting, interviews, employee evaluations/appraisals, yearly merit/performance increases/promotions, project/work assignments, employee development and training programs.  Position will interact daily with the Business Systems Surveillance Center, Client Support Services, various project managers, business partners, vendors, other IT&S staff/management and end users/customers on developing networking solutions that meet HCA's business requirements for the "To-Be Architecture", with particular focus on the Regional Data Center networks and the overall Enterprise Wide Area Network. Excellent written and oral communications for presentations, technical white papers and networking proposals will be required. Project management and problem management in-depth skills are required to effectively meet HCA business objectives and Service Level Agreements.  Leadership skills are a must to maintain positive business relations with employees, customers, business partners, peers and other IT&S personnel. Effective delegation and management of resources and work requests are required to continually produce positive work results and meet business objectives/timelines.  GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:  • Large/Complex business case proposals and analysis of the technologies, financials and project plans. • Strategic enterprise network planning and new technology assessment. • Communicate consistently with direct leadership and company leadership as to issues, concerns and/or potential road blocks that may occur. • Ensuring proposed/planned networking solutions meet business and strategic needs. Performs the above competences under Director level management general supervision.   EXPERIENCE:  10+ years of applicable experience is needed for a successful candidate plus 5+ years of management experience is mandatory.   EDUCATION:  Bachelor's degree is needed however in lieu of a degree experience may be a substitute.  OTHER/SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:  Cisco CCIE (Routing & Switching) or equivalent experience. 5 years of experience in management or supervision in an IT technical and/or operational role (ISP/ASP experience strongly preferred). 10 years IT experience / Experience managing vendors, contracts, project management, and technology procurement. / Proven ability to manage technology projects including new system development, installations, etc.  Must be Experienced in:  Data Networking Technologies All aspects of Cisco equipment and Cisco IOS Utilize various versions of NMS platforms / Microsoft Office Suite, plus Visio and MS Project / Excel. Business Objects preferred / Use of collaboration tools a plus / BMC Remedy and CA Clarity knowledge preferred
