Roles & Responsibilities: The Transplant Coordinator functions as a nurse in an expanded role. Coordinates all potential transplant patient evaluations. Serves as liaison with the transplant team, nephrologists, consulting services, dialysis facilities, dietitians, and social workers as they involve pre-transplant patients. Coordinates and presents all preoperative teaching and scheduling for recipients and living donors. Coordinates flow of patients on UNOS waiting list with OPO. Available on-call for recipient donor calls.
