Just some of our services and outreach efforts:  Twenty-four-hour emergency care, both at designated Hospital Emergency Centers and off-site Emergency Care locations Life-saving intervention during cardiovascular and neurological incidents Comprehensive women's care, from obstetric care to minimally invasive gynecological surgery Neonatal and pediatric intensive care Inpatient and outpatient surgery, rehabilitation, and monitoring support Education programs - child birth and child care classes, surgical seminars, physician speaker series Management centers for diabetes, heart failure, and other complex conditions Community partnerships with the American Heart Association, Joe Niekro Foundation, March of Dimes, and others.  The Gulf Coast Division Office is looking for a Division Director of Quality Management. Reporting to the Vice President of Quality, the Division Quality Director communicates and implements strategic, operational and programmatic plans and policies in order to further strengthen a culture where patient safety and quality is a central consideration for all clinicians and staff. He/she is responsible for providing direction, analytical and QM support for initiatives and projects at the system level including but not limited to data analysis, problem solving and coordinating the implementation of process to assure regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will have experience as a clinical leader and clinical experience in a healthcare system or medium to large hospital with a strong focus on quality. He or she must have a demonstrated track record of leading clinician behavior change, critical path management and participation in high performance teams and must be able to lead the organization through transformation and development of new quality initiatives.  Responsibilities: Provides assistance to the hospital QM and RM departments and senior management (facility and division) in professional and timely fashion.Directs activities of GCD division teams as needed. Functions effectively as a team member and a team leader.Is aware of and participates in the Corporate Ethics and Compliance Program. Assists division facilities in improving QM/RM processes by providing consultative services that assure a proactive versus reactive approach. Develops, identifies and analyzes data and information for division-wide QM/RM initiatives. Assists customers in appropriate utilization of data from process improvement.Directs and leads activities of the Quality Department in collaboration with the Vice-President of Quality and the CMO. Assists facilities with problem solving and process improvement related to regulatory compliance issues, risk management and other improvement activities. Assists facilities with TJC survey preparation including assisting with implementation of recommendations from corporate QRS findings. Directs the resolution of TJC or other regulatory issues that have system wide impact as directed by supervisor.Supports the activities of key market and division improvement/strategic teams including but not limited to Safety Officers, Division Perinatal Committee, Division Infection Control, Division Pharmacy, Division Emergency Preparedness and Specialty ADHOC Committees.Provides and coordinates quality improvement and regulatory related education for hospital and medical staff as deemed necessary by senior management.Orients new QM/RM directors to market and division processes.Represents the division at corporate meetings upon request of supervisor.
