Description
Standard Qualifications: SPECIFIC ELEMENTS 1 Obtains a complete nursing assessment on all patients. 2 Responsible for ongoing clinical management of the patient, promotes and participates in patient education and teaching and administers medications, and IV therapy, and performs venipunctures. 3 Promotes cost containment while delivering quality patient care within the surgical services department . 4 Maintains accurate and legible documentation to ensure accountability for assessments and patient plan of care and accurate patient charging. 5 Pursues own professional growth through continuing education and inservices and provides leadership. 6 Communicates effectively and professionally with peers, supervisors, ancillary departments and all other external/internal customers. 7. Demonstrates flexibility to perform other functions within Surgical Services and procedural areas to assist in the smooth operation of the departments and maintain competencies as appropriate. 8. Adheres to hospital policies and procedures; supports the mission of the hospital. 9. Other duties as assigned.
